Clone any viral video: what works, what doesn't

You can paste a public link to any reel, TikTok or short video, or upload the file, as long as you have the right to use it as a reference, and Clone Viral Videos will remake its format for your brand. Some formats clone well. A few do not. This page tells you which is which.

A real sample of this format

Every brand below is a made-up demo brand. AI actors, AI voices and AI shots of the product, with the AI-generated label burned in. The reels these formats came from are never shown.

Formats that clone well

These videos depend on structure, not on a particular person or event.

  • Product demos. A product shown in use, with a hook and a payoff.
  • "3 reasons" or list videos. Numbered points, text cards and quick cuts.
  • Problem and solution. A pain point, then your product as the fix.
  • Talking recommendation. A person to camera saying why they like something.
  • Unboxing and first-look formats. Hands, packaging, reactions.
  • Text-card explainers. Big words on screen, short clips between them.
  • Before and after. Two states, one transition.

For these, the AI actor and the AI product shots can stand in for the original people and objects without losing the format.

Formats that clone poorly

  • Anything built on one famous person. We do not imitate public figures or create look-alikes.
  • Videos that depend on a trending sound. We never reuse the original audio.
  • Live events and news clips. There is no format to rebuild, only a moment.
  • Real customer stories. We do not create fake customers or claim an AI actor is a real buyer.
  • Heavy visual effects. Complex 3D, screen-capture software demos and fast animation can be hard to match.
  • Very long videos. Short vertical video is the target. You can upload a reel up to 120 seconds and 300 MB, and finished videos are up to 90 seconds.

What "any" means in practice

"Any" means any public link you paste from TikTok, Instagram Reel, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reel or X (YouTube Shorts often need a file upload), or any file you upload, in a standard video format such as MP4 or MOV, up to the length and size limit shown on the screen. We fetch a pasted link ourselves, once, for analysis. Private accounts can't be fetched, and a platform sometimes blocks us. When that happens, upload the file instead. We cannot promise every link will work.

What you need before you start

  1. A brand profile. We read your website for your logo, colours, products, photos and tone. You can add your Instagram handle and upload extra photos, and you can edit everything before your first clone.
  2. A reference file you are allowed to use.
  3. Usually under 30 minutes.

How we handle the reference

You tick a box confirming you have the right to use the reference for analysis and that you will not use the output to impersonate anyone. We analyze the file and then delete it. We keep only the derived structure plan, not the video.

Choosing a good reference

A few quick checks help you pick a reference that clones well:

  • Does the video work with the sound off? Strong captions and clear visuals clone best.
  • Could your product replace the one shown? Pick references where the product is interchangeable.
  • Is the hook a type you could say about your brand? A fake claim or a false story will not survive a clone.
  • Is it under a minute? Shorter references clone faster and cost less to review.

Questions

Plain answers. Anything missing? Write to us from inside your account.

Can I clone any viral video?

You can paste a public link to any video, or upload the file, as long as you have the right to use it as a reference. Formats built around structure clone well. Formats built around a famous person, a trending sound or a live event do not.

Does it work for TikTok, Reels and Shorts?

Yes. Paste a public link from any of them, or upload the file. Output comes in 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1.

Can I clone a video of a celebrity or public figure?

We can learn the format, but we will not copy the person. Every actor comes from our fixed library of AI-made people, the reference never goes to a generation model, and reels built around a recognisable person are refused at upload.

Can I clone a video from YouTube?

Yes. Paste a public YouTube Shorts link, or upload the video file (YouTube often blocks downloads from our servers, so Shorts often need a file upload), if you have the right to use it as a reference. Private or restricted videos can't be fetched.

Does the clone keep the original music?

No. We never reuse the original audio.

How long does it take?

Usually under 30 minutes.
