The rule of thumb
Ask one question about the reel: why does it work?
- If the answer is "the way it is put together," we can rebuild that for your brand.
- If the answer is "because of who is in it, what song is playing or what really happened," we cannot. Those things belong to someone else, and we never reuse them.
Works great
These reels depend on structure, so they carry over cleanly.
- Talking to camera (selfie, car, kitchen, desk). One person speaking is easy to replace with an AI actor.
- UGC testimonials and reviews. The pattern is a hook, a reason and a call to action. Note that the actor is never presented as a real customer.
- Product demo with cutaway shots. Your product photos become the cutaways.
- POV and storytime with cutaways. A spoken story over supporting shots rebuilds well.
- Listicles and "top 3" with text cards. Text cards are drawn by code, so they stay sharp. A listicle can show a different product in each item, up to 3 products per reel.
- Problem to solution, before to after. Two states and one turn are easy to recreate.
- Text on screen with B-roll montages. The words carry the message.
- Podcast clips and street interviews with one speaker. A single speaker keeps lip-sync reliable.
Works with limits
These can work, but expect some limits or a redo. Each clone includes 2 free single-shot redos.
- Two people talking. Lip-sync is less reliable with two faces and it takes more shots.
- Very fast montages (more than about 1 cut per second). Similar shots get merged.
- Hands doing detailed things (pouring, applying cream, assembling). Fine finger work can come out wrong and may need a redo.
- Small print on packaging. Logos and big text are fine. Fine print can blur.
- App or software demos. AI cannot make a real screen recording, so upload your own for those shots.
Can't clone
- Dance and choreography trends, sports, stunts and crowds. Body motion in groups is too hard to recreate faithfully.
- Lip-syncing to a song, or any reel whose point is the music. We never reuse the original audio and we do not add licensed songs.
- Real celebrities or creators, anyone's look-alike, and children. We do not copy real people.
- Clips from movies, TV or other people's footage. That includes memes built on copyrighted clips. The footage is the point, and it is not ours to use.
- Real news events, and real places or landmarks shown as real. An AI version would present something false as fact.
- Medical, financial or before-and-after claims we can't back up, and adult content. We block claims that could mislead people.
- Reels longer than 120 seconds (for upload), or outputs longer than 90 seconds. These are our length limits.
How to pick a good reference
Find a reel where you can say "this works because of how it is built." Check that the video would still work with the sound off, that your product could replace the one shown, and that it is under 120 seconds. Paste the link (or upload the file), tick the rights box and look at the free preview before you spend a credit.
