Step 1: Set up your brand profile once
Enter your website address. The profile pulls in your logo, colors, products, product photos, prices shown on your site and your tone of voice. Check it first: most "wrong" results trace back to a missing photo, an old price or an off tone. Add extra product photos if the site has only one angle.
Step 2: Start from the template or a link
- From the template library: open the reel and press Create this. It starts a clone with that reel's link.
- From your own saved reel: paste the public link (TikTok, Instagram Reel, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reel or X), or upload the file if the account is private.
Either way, you tick a box confirming you have the right to use the reel as a reference. The reel is analyzed for structure and then deleted.
Step 3: Read the free preview
The free preview gives you three things: the storyboard breakdown, a script written for your brand, and one preview frame. Compare them with your work from the earlier lessons:
- Does the storyboard match your shot list from lesson 3?
- Is the hook the type you picked in lesson 2?
- Is the right product in the right shots, as you planned in lesson 4?
If something is off, fix the brand profile or pick a different product before you go further. The preview costs nothing, and free accounts get up to 3 a day.
Step 4: Edit the script
Edit any line. This is where your hook line from lesson 2 goes in. Keep each line short enough for its shot. The script checker flags claims it can't verify and any run of five or more words copied from the original, so fix those before you continue.
Step 5: Pick the actor and the length
Choose an AI actor and voice from the actor library. Pick a length: 8, 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 seconds. Shorter is usually tighter. You see the exact price in credits before anything runs, and a 15-second reel costs 1 credit. Your first full clone can be the $1 trial, and plans start at $39 a month. See pricing.
Step 6: Review and redo
It usually takes under 30 minutes. Watch the result with sound on, then muted. Check:
- the product looks like your product (fine print can blur)
- every claim is one you can back up
- captions sit clear of faces and are readable
Each clone includes 2 free single-shot redos for any shot you don't like.
Step 7: Post it properly
You get three files: 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, 4:5 for feed posts and 1:1 for square spots. When you post:
- leave the AI-generated label on (it's built in)
- turn on the platform's own AI-content setting
- mark paid posts as ads
- add trending audio inside TikTok or Instagram if you want it, since the original song is never reused
Step 8: Learn from your own numbers
Compare the result with your usual reels. A format that worked for someone else is a starting point, not a promise of views. If it does well, try it with another product. On Growth and Scale, each clone includes 3 hook variants at no extra credit, so you can test openings against each other.
The whole course on one card
- Pick reels for format, not fame.
- Name the hook type and write your own line.
- Write the shot list and spot trouble shots.
- Check role, audience, proof and size.
- Preview free, edit, make, review, post with labels.
Keep exploring in the template library, break down new finds with the viral reel analyzer, and test new openings in the hook checker. Back to the course overview.
