Hypit alternatives

Hypit is an open-source system that lets coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex make and clone videos. You install it as a skill, point your agent at a video, and the agent does the work. It is a good fit for people who already live in a terminal. If you do not, or you want a saved brand and a finished file without directing an agent, these alternatives are worth a look.

We make Clone Viral Videos, one of the options below, so we have a stake. Facts about other tools come from their own websites and READMEs, checked on October 31, 2026. We left out anything we could not confirm.

What Hypit is, in plain terms

From Hypit's own README and pricing page:

  • How you use it: through a coding agent. The README names Claude Code and Codex, and the install is a one-line skill command.
  • Cost: the software is free to use, with no seat pricing, per-render fees or added watermark. You pay for your coding agent and the AI models. Hosted plans are $9.90 a month for Starter (1,800 credits), $39.90 for Pro (10,000 credits) and $99.90 for Ultra (27,000 credits).
  • Brand profile: none is described.

That makes Hypit flexible and low cost to start, but it asks you to be comfortable directing an agent. The alternatives below trade some of that flexibility for less setup.

Option 1: Clone Viral Videos (a web app, or from ChatGPT and Claude)

Clone Viral Videos is a hosted service that does one job: it remakes a viral reel's format for your brand. You save your brand once from your website, paste a public TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or X link or upload a file, check a free preview, and download a finished reel in 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1.

Two things matter to Hypit users:

  • You can still use an agent. Clone Viral Videos connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex and Claude Code as a remote MCP server with OAuth sign-in. Spending credits is a separate permission that is off unless you tick it, and the agent must quote the exact price first. See clone viral videos with AI agents.
  • There is an API on Scale. Keys with read or generate scopes, 120 requests a minute per key, documented at /api/docs.

What you give up: it is not open source, you cannot self-host it, and it costs more to start ($39 a month for 5 credits, after a free preview and a $1 first clone). The full side-by-side is on Clone Viral Videos vs Hypit.

Option 2: Creatify

Creatify is a web-based AI ad platform. Its Ad Clone feature takes a winning ad link from TikTok or Instagram, a direct video link or a file, and rebuilds the ad's hook, beats and pacing for your product. It also sells API plans from $99 a month, which may suit developers who want an API instead of an agent skill. It has a free plan with 10 credits a month and watermarked exports. See Creatify alternatives.

Option 3: Topview

Topview's Viral Video Agent takes a reference clip and a product image and rebuilds the video around your product. It is a point-and-click web tool with plans from $36 a month billed annually. See Topview alternatives.

Option 4: Oakgen

Oakgen is an all-in-one AI workspace with chat, images, video, voice, UGC ads and carousels. Like Clone Viral Videos, it offers an MCP connection for ChatGPT and Claude. Plans run from $19 to $99 a month, and Oakgen says there is no free trial. See Oakgen alternatives.

Who should stay with Hypit

Stay with Hypit if you want to read and change the code, run it with your own model keys, or build your own video pipeline on top of it. None of the hosted tools here let you do that.

Who should switch

Consider a hosted tool if you are a store owner or marketer who wants a finished video from a link, if you want a brand saved once, or if you want written guardrails. Clone Viral Videos never reuses the reference's footage, audio, voice or faces, refuses reels built around recognizable people, deletes the reference after analysis and labels every output as AI-generated.

Questions

Plain answers. Anything missing? Write to us from inside your account.

Is there a Hypit alternative that does not need coding?

Yes. Clone Viral Videos, Creatify, Topview and Oakgen all work in a web browser. Clone Viral Videos can also be used from ChatGPT or Claude without writing code.

Can I use Clone Viral Videos from Claude Code or Codex like Hypit?

Yes. Add our MCP server URL to Claude Code or Codex and sign in with OAuth. The agent can read reels, write scripts and show free previews; spending credits needs a separate permission.

Is Clone Viral Videos open source?

No. It is a hosted service. If open source matters to you, Hypit is the option on this list that offers it.

Which is cheapest?

Hypit's software is free and its hosted plans start at $9.90 a month, but you also pay for models. Clone Viral Videos starts at $39 a month for 5 credits, after a free preview and a $1 first clone.

Does Hypit have a brand profile?

Hypit's README does not describe one. Clone Viral Videos saves your brand profile from your website and uses it on every clone.
